Our Story
We started with
living things.
Soil. Fermentation. Rainforest ecosystems. The strange, beautiful fact that your gut is alive too. Wild Origin grew out of those places, not out of a marketing brainstorm.
To make gut health feel less clinical and more like something you can eat, understand, and build into real life.
To build a food company where microbiome science, traditional fermentation, and honest ingredients sit at the same table.

Before the brand,
there were jars.
The idea did not start as a perfect product line. It started with questions we kept circling: why does so much "healthy" food feel disconnected from the land it came from, and why does gut health so often sound like homework?
Zach was thinking about soil, crops, and fermentation. Gabriel was thinking about wildlife, ecosystems, and the Costa Rican jungle where the first fermentation experiments began. Wild Origin is our attempt to bring those worlds into food people can actually use.
Things we will keep caring about.

Ingredient Integrity
If it does not need to be in the jar, bottle, or kit, we do not want it there.

Nature First
We pay attention to living systems first: soil, microbes, plants, people, and the places they come from.

Traditional Methods
Fermentation, natural preservation, and small-batch methods that leave room for time to do its work.

Nutrient Density
Food should carry something useful back to the body, not just look good on a shelf.

Transparency
Clear labels, plain claims, and honest sourcing so you know what you are bringing home.

Stewardship
A brand shaped by farms, forests, wildlife, and the responsibility that comes with borrowing from nature.
The rules we come back to.
Two founders, two very different paths, one living system.
Zach
Co-Founder · Farming & Fermentation
A Kentucky-based farmer and builder working at the intersection of agriculture, nutrition, and functional food. With a background in agronomy and more than a decade of hands-on farming, Zach understands the full lifecycle of food—from soil health to fermentation to its impact on the body. His focus on small-batch fermentation and gut health anchors everything we make in clean inputs and time-honored methods.
Gabriel
Co-Founder · Brand & Stewardship
An entrepreneur and operator who spent five years in the Costa Rican jungle caring for wildlife and learning the interconnectedness of living systems. That respect for natural balance led him to living foods and microbiome testing. Gabriel brings storytelling, brand connection, and consumer experience—translating complex, high-quality products into something accessible and compelling.
